We are almost there

I am almost there, a graduate of BSc Biochemistry degree. The past few years have been a rollercoaster of surprises and changes. As a result of this course, I was able to learn a number of exciting laboratory skills, such as identification of microorganisms, preparing DNA libraries, and assembling genes. In addition, I gain the confidence necessary to succeed in my field of interest, which prepares me for future employment.
I am committed to completing my degree with first honours with a lot of effort and hard work. Even though excitement, anticipation, and stress are high as the final year approaches, I strive to remain calm, joyful, and restful. Due to the fact that this is a critical time of year for achieving the best results, I always encourage friends to stay focused and calm during this time. Therefore, I encourage every student to put in a lot of effort at the end of this year because this is the time when they can really make a difference in their award.
The following trimester remains to be completed, so I can celebrate all the hard work and accomplishments. In my final year projects, I choose to do Bacterial Genomic Sequencing. As it is more structured, it is less cluttered. As part of module, I need to write a final scientific manuscript of the experimental design. It is hard work and time-consuming, but I am looking forward to the end result. My satisfaction with the other two modules was also high, as I found them to be very informative, interactive, and comprehensive. For instance, in the Clinical Biochemistry module, I studied biochemical abnormalities which occur in disease and the use of clinical biochemical data for the diagnosis and management of common disorders. Having access to these analytical techniques is very useful as they are capable of detecting health issues, determining a patient's prognosis, and guiding his or her treatment plan. It was thanks to the JVenn Foundation that I was able to study without worrying about time constrains. I am grateful to them, as my study time was less stressful.
Finally, I hope my excitement about celebrating all the hard work and accomplishments is contagious to all of you. Wishing you all a happy and prosperous new year.
