Camera Shy?

New Year, New Challenges

The second term of university has brought not only new challenges but also new friends. This year I am now studying photography, Digital Media and Scriptwriting. Due to having new modules my group has been changed so I’ve gotten to meet lots of really cool people who love media too. I’m finding photography to be quite difficult, as I haven’t had any previous experience with professional cameras so it’s all pretty scary and different but I am enjoying the challenge. My advice for anyone struggling with a module on their university course is don’t be afraid to ask questions, whether it’s the teacher or your fellow students. Many students in my class have studied photography as an A-Level so they gave me advice and also led me to becoming good friends with them. My other new modules are really interesting and different, in digital media I’m learning how to animate a movie opening which Is really exciting and in scriptwriting I’ve written my first script to be marked and assessed so I’m eager to see what the feedback will be.

It’s amazing how fast time is flying by at university soon I will be travelling to Poland with my media group to go to the Photography festival in Krakow (Which I wouldn’t of been able to attend without the scholarship) and I will soon move into my student house which I will be sharing with my current roommates who are all lovely. There’s not been one moment where I’ve regretted my choice to attend university, I’ve only been here for six months but the people I’ve met and the experiences I’ve had were worth the months of worrying and stress about getting the grades to attend university. Soon it will be the Easter holidays so I’m be excited to visit home and see my family though Lincoln now feels like a second home to me now.
